Aerial Reaching Tree Tops Yoga

Aerial Yoga is what happens when yoga and flying unite in harmony!
Aerial Yoga revitalizes the traditional “fitness class” experience by
incorporating balance and stretching movements with the exhilarating
strength and cardiovascular conditioning of aerial arts training. Yoga in
flight!

The program has been designed to build strength and flexibility while
maintaining its key component: having fun! Through the use of yoga
hammocks, Aerial Yoga includes swinging, inversion and other aerial-based
techniques that uniquely encourage conditioning of the mind, body and
spirit.

The hammocks fully support the body and students manage the resistance and
level of challenge by simply shifting their hammock positioning throughout
the class. All levels of ability are welcome. Aerial Yoga offers a new and
exciting way to experience fitness: a powerful workout combining strength,
balance, flexibility and core training infused with the joyous element of
flight!

We will review your health history, evaluate your strength, flexibility, agility and balance needed for the class, and teach you aerial techniques necessary for your safety in class. You will be taken through a series of moves you'll need to know before beginning the class.

To come prepared make sure not to wear clothing with any thing that may snag the hammock fabric, for example: velco, zippers, hooks, snaps, etc. I think you get the idea. Mani/Pedi-check for sharp nails and rough feet (makes a difference to pumice. No jewelry, smooth wedding bands are ok but any rings like engagement or wedding rings that stick out please remove before training. Wear clothing with sleeves, short sleeves are ok, tank tops may be uncomfortable on the under arms. I like to wear layers as we do in yoga. You can wear socks for part of it. If you have grippy socks those are great, too. Please arrive promptly so that we can get the hammock height correctly set for everyone.
