Carlos Antonio Martinez

I enjoy helping individuals recognize their potential and abilities.

I am a 2013 graduate from the University of California, Irvine with two Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economics. During my undergraduate career, I was involved in various areas of campus where I worked directly and indirectly with students and professional staff members. My experience on-campus has reinforced my idea of pursuing a career as a middle, or high school math teacher.

I enjoy helping students develop their social, life, and academic skills to succeed as individuals. I am in the Mathematics Single Subject Teaching Credential program at Cal State University, Long Beach. I plan to finish my credential program in May 2015, and will apply to teach math in at-risk communities.

As a water polo player, swimmer, weight lifter, yogi, and active individual, I have grown passionate about helping others attain their personal health and fitness goals. I am a certified Yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance, and plan to teach trauma sensitive yoga in the upcoming months. I plan to become a certified personal trainer and swim instructor this year. Living an active life helps me stay grounded as an individual.
