Tanya McDonald
Being a dancer most of her life, Tanya was instantly drawn to the physical aspects of yoga. It was not until practicing yoga for about 10 months that she discovered the importance and relevance of the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga. After that, she was hooked and knew this was her passion. She completed her 200 hour training certification through the Yoga Room of Redlands and has been practicing and teaching every day since. Her style of teaching varies from high intensity with options to increase or decrease intensity to deep slow stretching. She likes to “play the edge” in every practice and finds that over time, things that once seemed impossible, are now part of a daily flow. Tanya teaches every class with a strong knowledge of yoga postures and alignment. She believes that everyone should understand the full alignment and balance of every pose to reach optimum results in their practice. Her students love her outgoing personality and positive energy. Every class has music that matches the level of intensity. For example a yin (slow deep stretch) will have calm and relaxing music. A power vinyasa (building up to high intensity and then cooling back down) will have slow music that works into fast paced beats and winds back down to cool off. Overall, Tanya seeks to encourage students in the benefits and rewards a yoga practice has to offer. She LOVES to see her students transform; mentally and physically.
