The Yoga Sanctuary
The Yoga Sanctuary Danforth studio is also in an historic building that was built in 1856. This studio has unique curved walls, with beautiful floor to ceiling windows and a multi-coloured exposed brick wall. Conveniently located at the gateway to the east end of Toronto, it is a truly one-of-a-kind practice space.

The Playter Society Building at 95 Danforth was the first commercial building in the area, built by Albert E. Playter and his brother William around 1909. They strategically placed the building where the Broadview Ave streetcars turned around. It soon became the commercial and social centre for the district. Liberace performed at concerts across the hall where The Joy of Dance is now located. The hall became the place to dance to big name bands in the 1930's, like Guy Lambardo. This building caught on fire in 1975 and suffered tremendous damages. From the ashes of a terrible fire, The Yoga Sanctuary Danforth has resurrected this space.

Conveniently loca
