Yoga Hawaii
oga Hawaii has been open since October 1999, founded by Tania Jo Ingrahm and Rupali Embry—friends and fellow yoginis for over 20 years.
In October 2011, the studio ownership passed to studio manager Maya Siklai, who now carries the vision, adding her flavor and beautifully nuanced interpretation. (To read more about Rupali and Tania’s current adventures, please visit their website.)
From the very beginning, the vision for Yoga Hawaii was that of a vibrant and vital yoga shala, filled with sincere practitioners engaged in the deeper practices of this ancient healing tradition. Many of Yoga Hawaii teachers have studied with great yoga masters—including the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, Sharath Jois, as well as masters from the Kripalu tradition, Anusara, DeRose Method and many others. Today they continue to pass along the teachings as clearly and authentically as possible.
