Rushing Water Yoga
The type of Yoga we offer is called Hatha and our instructors are trained in the Iyengar tradition. The Iyengar tradition has an emphasis on the fundamentals of alignment through stretching and strengthening to achieve balance. There is also focused attention on breath work. The classes include a combination of relaxation, standing and seated postures.
The classes are appropriate for all people regardless of weight and what kind of shape they are in. These are beginning level classes and each person will work at their own pace. Each class does build on the previous one but at a personal level. Yoga is non-competitive and there is no right or wrong way to participate and there is no goal. This will be a safe place to experiment with breath and movement.
