Jennifer B Yoga
I'm passionate about helping busy people experience the benefits of a consistent yoga practice, including enhanced focus, effective stress management, increased strength and flexibility, improved breathing and balance, better posture, greater body awareness, and kindness and consideration for ourselves, our communities and our planet. My classes aim to share these gifts in a positive, peaceful and welcoming setting, with an emphasis on stress reduction, intentional sequencing, optimal alignment, self care and a groovy soundtrack. Quite simply, I believe that your yoga practice should make you feel good!
About me: I'm a Seattle-based yoga teacher offering private individual and group sessions for busy parents, professionals and families. A perpetual student myself, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers, studying under the wise and compassionate guidance of esteemed teachers Anne Phyfe Palmer, Chiara Guerrieri, Jenny Hayo and Melina Meza. I am also certified through Next Generation Yoga to teach kids ages 2–7. And I am currently working toward my pre/postnatal RPYT certification. My personal practice and teaching style are inspired and influenced by yoga's Hatha, Yin and Restorative traditions, and I enjoy customizing sequences for each client's individual needs.
I'm available to teach you individually or with a group of your friends, family or coworkers on-site in your Seattle home or office; I also offer virtual yoga lessons via Skype. I'm very comfortable around kids and pets and am available to teach private sessions for parents who prefer to keep their little ones close at hand while practicing (whether that means your child(ren) moving through some of the yoga poses, too, or simply playing nearby).
A quick note about rates: The price listed is my usual hourly rate for a private session within a 15-minute drive of Green Lake; beyond that, a small travel fee would be incurred. Semi-private and group classes have different pricing, depending on such factors as the number of people, whether you have your own mats and props, and your location. And I do offer custom packages for clients working toward a specific goal. Any questions—please don't hesitate to ask!
I look forward to meeting you. Namaste!
