Dharma Bodhi
Dharma Bodhi, born Patrick Ronan, graduated with a clinical doctorate degree in chiropractic in 1986 and later completed advanced studies at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1987, he became a student of Paramahamsa Satyananda Sarasvati, who gave him his spiritual name. In 1997, Dharma Bodhi was instructed by his teacher to form a dharma school for westerners. Motivated by his teacher's words, “Educate the women, change the world,” Dharma Bodhi began the establishment of a long line of charitable, educational, and humanitarian projects worldwide.
In 2007, Dharma Bodhi along with his family and a dedicated group of like-minded colleagues, moved to the mountains of northern Thailand to establish Kailash Akhara. This 35-acre intentional community, permaculture farm, and education center is the home base of DHF's service initiatives and the main center for DHARMA INC, the International Non-dual Dharma Community. Dharma Bodhi continues to serve and inspire countless others to lead lives of contribution for the benefit of humanity.
