A proud Colorado native, Amy found her way to yoga in 2006, via the living room of a college friend who had just completed Core Power’s teacher training. Little did she know at the time, seven years later she would go through the same training and lead the same sequence that got her excited about yoga in the first place. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in psychology, going on to teach pre-school, and falling victim to “adult stresses,” her yoga practice started to diminish. It wasn’t until 2010 when she decided a change was in order, that she quit her job, went on a 3-month road trip and came back to the practice that used to bring her so much happiness. She re-commit to yoga, went on to get her 200hr teaching certification, and now teaches at Core Power Yoga in Denver. She uses her positive energy and love for people to guide a grounding and meditative practice, and believes that every class is an opportunity to become new again.
