Monica Moore
"move with mindfulness, radiate from your core, with the flow of the breath"
My name is Monica Moore, and I am a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health and Wellness Coach practicing in the Southern Highlands of NSW, in Sydney, and coaching online for those who don't live close by.
I am a yoga loving, wellness craving wholefood enthusiast. I have amalgamated my great passions of yoga and food under one holistic health umbrella to educate, guide and support you to be as stellar as you can be, so you can shine brightly in your life.
I have practiced yoga for over 25 years and I live in a world that involves a family of 3 children, travel and work commitments so I understand how life can quickly spiral out of control without mindful attention. My classes are an infusion of poses, breathwork , integrated yogic wisdom, and simple meditations to challenge, soften and expand the whole body.
My continual growth as a yoga teacher and practitioner has been influenced by studying with numerous teachers in London and Hong Kong before gaining an Advanced Diploma in Yoga Teaching through Nature Care College in Sydney. I continue my professional development by participating in workshops and trainings. I completed an additional 200 hour teacher training under the guidance of Noah Maze and Christina Sell, in April 2013, and and in September 2013 completed an intensive with Darren Rhodes.
Food and Nutrition is an evolving process, and cooking and catering have always been part of my life both professionally and personally, Wellbeing and healthy living continually fluctuates according to what life throws at us, so I am a health nut to the extent that my life allows me to be. With my clients, I advocate a framework where we bend with flexible routines, rather than habitually break dogmatic rules.Believe me when I say I am not just some hippy yoga chick living on sprouts and lentils spreading peace and love in the world...that chick does exist, but Captain sensible is also in there to keep her grounded.
I take an earthy rather than ethereal approach, encouraging us all to reconnect with our innate wisdom to integrate sustainable health practices into our daily life.
I follow the mantra of being the 'guide on the side not the sage on the stage' in order to support and empower others on their path to wellness and vitality
I look forward to having you on this adventure with me!
