Workshop - Deep Core: Strengthen Your Practice from the Inside Out
Description
In yoga, the energy of the abdomen or "core" relates to self-esteem and a strong sense of self. Physically, a strong and supple core is the foundation for stability not only in yoga postures, but in the activities of daily life. And, core stability is a key factor in stabilizing the pelvis and preventing low back pain. In this workshop, we will learn about the various abominal muscles and how they assist or limit movement. We'll explore these dynamics through sequences that target each muscle group for both strength and release. Students will leave with a simple yet comprehensive core home practice sequence.
