Join The Yoga Sanctuary as we welcome Sanskrit scholar and author Nicolai Bachman to Punta Gorda. Nicolai has been teaching Sanskrit, chanting, Yoga philosophy and Ayurveda since 1994. He has a knack for synthesizing and organizing complex topics into simple and understandable presentations. The weekend will include an exploration of the history of yoga, the basics of the Sanskrit language, an overview of the Yoga Sutras—one of yoga’s most beloved texts—and an investigation into the chakra (energy center) system.
