Teacher Training - 500 Hour Advanced Module F (Friday Evening Program)
Description
When the body is free of discomfort and pain, the mind can begin to find stillness. Western culture focuses the majority of the yoga practice on Asana, but traditionally yogis practiced postures only to prepare the physical temple for sitting in meditation, where the doors to self-realization can be accessed.
Training for this challenging practice can be achieved through the use of Pranayama, or yogic breathing, and is not merely breath control, but a process by which the pranic store of energy in the body is increased and channeled. Pranayama is one of the most powerful tools for connecting physical and mental energies. Training includes (but is not limited to): Yoga Nidra, Various Pranayama practices, Upper Level Meditations, practicum.
