"Bandha Power" - Yoga 3 Series with Joan Varini

Develop power and control through the awareness and strengthening of your energetic and physical core. Understanding and engaging the Bandhas takes a very deep awareness of our physical and subtle bodies and their connection to the breath, but they are key to a lighter more fluid practice.

Through learning how to engage the locks in the body in conjunction with breath control, we deepen our ability to stay present within ourselves increasing our stamina and total mental and physical power. In this three part workshop we will perform traditional Bandha awareness and strengthening postures as well as conditioning exercises to strengthen our connection to our internal muscular and energetic stamina and control. We will test our Bandha power through Pranayama and endurance exercises and balancing postures.

Although this workshop is open to all levels, some yoga experience is encouraged due to the depth of physical awareness needed to comprehend these more subtle yet powerful concepts.
