Teacher Training - Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training
Description
Currently, there is high demand for professionally-trained prenatal yoga teachers in the Chicago area. This in-depth training will prepare you to become one of few Registered Prenatal Yoga Teachers (RPYT) qualified to safely and effectively offer yoga to pregnant and postpartum women. Learn how to design powerful and intelligently sequenced classes that teach your students appropriate yoga philosophy, pranayama, asana and meditation to promote a healthy pregnancy and birth.
Yoga is the ideal accompaniment for the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and new parenthood. This movement to empower women with the skills of mindfulness, endurance, and adaptability is rapidly gaining in popularity and recommended regularly by doctors and midwives to their patients. As a prenatal yoga teacher, you will feel the rewards of providing support, community, and education to mothers in this transformational life stage.
Join experienced prenatal yoga teachers Cassie Rodgers and Lela Beem and their team of women’s health professionals for a comprehensive curriculum divided into three separate modules. Each module can be taken individually if needed and will be applicable to CE hours for yoga teachers.
This curriculum conforms to the Yoga Alliance standards of a Registered Prenatal Yoga School. Upon completion of the 85 hour training you will be eligible for a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher credential (Yoga Alliance requires 30 additional teaching hours after completing our training).
A 200 hour yoga certification is required to be eligible for this program. Exceptions: Physical therapists, doulas, childbirth educators and dance movement therapists may attend this training only if they have a minimum of one-year consistent yoga practice.
Individual modules may be applicable towards cumulative credit for certification if you are unable to complete the full program this year.
